where life is a coconut
by Raymond Refoen
A true story of forbidden love and tragedy. A young Peace Corp volunteer is commissioned to replant the aging coconut groves of Losap, Micronesia, to dispel hunger. Bucking the traditions and facing the disdain which oppose his plan, the young Robert Ralston becomes embroiled in an illicit and taboo love affair. A plot against him, a primitive love potion, and the curse of a burial chamber prevent Ralston from achieving all he would attempt.
