Two thirteen-year-olds decide to cool off one hot summer day by going up river to Blue Pool, a dangerous and forbidden place. Things get hotter than expected as they jump a freight train, accidentally start a grass fire, and get chased through a cave and caught by two dangerous men willing to do anything to keep their secret.
